John founded Menemsha over 20 years ago to bring a new level of service and accountability to the retail construction & development industry. With a degree in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver, John knew he could improve the success of projects when given the opportunity to provide input early in the development life cycle. By creating a network of industry specialists including surveyors, architects, designers and engineers to work closely with preferred retail clients, he quickly developed a reputation for consistent high volume retail construction success. As an early adopter of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) brought innovative thinking together by developing in house professional service division that collaborate to exceed client demands. John was honored with the Construction Executive of the Year Award in 2005 from the Construction Financial Management Association.
Tom Speroni | Executive Vice President
With a strong construction background Tom has a BSBA degree from the University of Denver where he also studied Real Estate and Construction Management. Tom has worked for national retail and restaurant chains in Construction Management. Tom left his senior role at Starbucks Coffee Company, where he worked from the late 80’s to roll out stores across North America, to become a partner at Menemsha. He brings the client perspective to Menemsha helping the team collectively understand and meet our clients’ needs. Tom is also an early pioneer of Online Program Management (OPM) creating a site in the mid 90’s for the roll out of a national laser eye care center. He continues to pursue and embrace technology to gain an edge in retail development. Tom regularly speaks at conferences and events about the benefits of collaborative store planning and synergistic retail roll out.
