Melani Dannenberg, LEED AP

Director of Architecture
Hawaii. Said to mean “Place of the Gods” in the Hawaiki language. An inspirational place where Melani began a life of inspired work. It began with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cal Poly Pomona. Later Melani taught both engineering and architecture at ITT Tech. As a LEED Accredited Professional, she has incorporated sustainable design principals into all her work. And she has embraced the profession as an entrepreneur too having founded several businesses including opening an architectural model building company. Now comes the remarkable design work spanning retail, liturgical campuses, K-8 schools, convention centers, Cars Land at Disney California Adventure, even a resort in the Middle East, complete with a golf center, gymnasium, restaurants, and a mosque. Melani brings all this and more to her leadership role of the architectural studios in our Los Angeles and Boston offices where she manages the technical review process and the financial performance of the department. Her goal is to provide support, guidance, and mentorship to her team. It’s about creating inspiring places. And loving what you do. Aloha.

Ryan Weller

Director of Retail
Restored Corvettes. Competitive beach volleyball. Baroque architecture. When you get to know Ryan, his mix of passions makes total sense. And how he has applied his talents! This University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign Architecture graduate draws inspiration from many sources. He has worked on over 210 retail, restaurant, commercial office, higher education, and healthcare projects with combined construction budgets in excess of $633M. And with e-commerce on the rise, that includes a $32m warehouse / fulfillment facility in Illinois. Detail oriented and technically driven, Ryan has built a reputation as a space planning guru and an efficiency expert. He leads a high-energy team (that’s just to keep up with him) from start to success with responsibility for all phases of programming. Ryan’s got the winning SoCal formula. And if it’s not Baroque, why fix it?

Tom Speroni

Executive VP / Principal
After earning a degree in Business from the University of Denver, where Tom also studied Real Estate and Construction Management, he found himself in Seattle, WA. Leveraging his academic and hands-on construction experience, he positioned himself at the forefront of the expansion for a little-known local coffee shop chain poised for growth. Five years later, his entrepreneurial spirit started calling. Tom departed his senior role to become a partner at Menemsha. With the client’s perspective in focus, he pioneered an innovative Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) process for retail expansion. Working with fast-growing national restaurant and retail chains, he leveraged his Seattle expertise to streamline the development process and to accelerate store openings. Later, bringing this strategy into the healthcare sector, he successfully applied a similar approach to dialysis centers, Lasik eye surgery clinics, and dental offices. A recognized industry advocate for the pursuit and embrace of technology to create an edge in commercial development, Tom is a sought-after speaker on the benefits of Integrated Project Development and synergistic retail rollouts.
