Santander Bank

Santander Bank was in an expansive mood. The international financial-services giant, which had recently purchased Sovereign Bank, teamed up with Menemsha to execute a rebranding effort that encompassed former Sovereign branches in the Northeast, as well as a new branch at Boston Medical Center. Menemsha helped the bank implement an open floor plan utilizing universal bankers, thereby incorporating smart use of space and new technology to eliminate the barrier between tellers and customers. No more staid old teller stations. Now bankers and customers meet in comfortable nooks, flooded with natural light. The effort created an atmosphere conducive to connection, to personal interaction, beautifully reinforcing the Santander customer promise: “to ensure respect is at the core of every customer interaction.”
