Menemsha Announces Completion of Lululemon Remodel in Newport Beach’s Fashion Island

lululemon fashion islandLululemon had an idea; to open their largest store to date in time for the Holiday season. They turned to Menemsha and the team delivered.

At just under 9,000 square feet, over 200 linear feet of storefront, and 6 entrances, the store opened in December of 2017 in true Lululemon fashion. The scale and location was an immediate hit for fans of the brand and those unfamiliar.

The interior features clean, sophisticated materials with a modern approach to suit retail display of active and athletic wear. A custom sparkling water tap greets customers upon entry while an exterior patio space is included for those that just need a break. Within the store, you’re immediately drawn to a grand 50-foot-diameter rotunda area built using raw steel and solid wood. The feature offers a cool aesthetic allowing visibility throughout the space while making use of prime shopping area. The floor plan is open and inviting, allowing seamless movement among women’s, men’s, and the ivivva product area. (After all, Lululemon’s motto is “Breathe.”)

Menemsha has been Lululemon’s primary architectural partner for more than a decade, responsible for hundreds of unique, innovative, and regionally themed storefronts for the brand.
