Menemsha Completes New Regional Headquarters for Tri Counties Bank
Menemsha Solutions has completed a new 40,000-square-foot regional headquarters in Roseville, California, for Tri Counties Bank. The project, begun in February 2017 and completed in November 2017, entailed a complete interior remodel of an existing stand-alone two-story building that dated from the 1990s. The work comprised design of a ground-floor branch as well as offices and conference rooms, an exterior canopy, and ADA-oriented site improvements.
Menemsha Architecture transformed the building’s dated look aesthetically as well as technologically, creating a timeless, modern design. The company used modern, clean finish materials of varied textures—in both pattern and form—to provide interest and shadow-play. Flooring finishes and ceiling designs were conceived to transform the building’s long corridors into dynamic, lively spaces. Menemsha architects flooded the building and individual work spaces with light by utilizing transparency and minimizing opaque walls. They also created a unique double-story main staircase and railing.
Menemsha’s services for the Tri Counties project extended to programming, space planning, interior design, and furniture selection and coordination. A great deal of emphasis was placed on creating an atmosphere of work-life balance, as office design in financial services trends increasingly toward the hospitality sector.
Tri Counties is a regional bank headquartered in Chico, California, with branches in Central and Northern California communities from Bakersfield to Crescent City. Menemsha and Tri Counties Bank have been associated since 2010, when the bank turned to Menemsha to refresh its retail branches. Subsequent work has included various branch and headquarters remodels as well as a ground-up office/branch project. Menemsha’s designs and choices of materials—emphasizing openness and transparency—always accentuate the bank’s bond with the communities it serves.
The Roseville building has been so well received that it has become a marketing showcase for a number of manufacturers who supplied materials and design elements for the project. Menemsha also surveyed the building for as-built documentation, and executed redesign of its mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
