JustFab has enjoyed tremendous success as an online fashion subscription retailer since its launch in 2010 as a web-only fashion brand offering women’s footwear. This subsidiary of Intelligent Beauty has since expanded into international markets and into new product categories such as handbags, jewelry, denim, and other accessories. Today, JustFab counts nearly 50 million members worldwide. They turned to Menemsha Architecture to interpret a winning online experience in a physical shopping environment at their flagship store in the Glendale Galleria in Glendale, CA. This meant finding an architectural vocabulary that would cohesively showcase trend-driven collections. Tapping into JustFab’s brand DNA, we expressed the in-store design as “Whimsical Modern” and set out to leverage the in-store advantages of seeing, touching, and trying products. Shopper engagement, the JustFab way, was key. We presented shoppers with curated product displays and trend story videos. In-store personal stylists offer inspiration and fashion advice on how to wear the featured trends. Customers can register for exclusive VIP member pricing that was previously available online only. And a modern shoe gallery complete with a shoe bar, a glam camera, custom furniture, and a monumental 30-foot diameter custom designed glam chandelier blends whimsy, moxie, and fun in an effervescent shopping mix.
