Detailed, Complicated and Ahead of Schedule: Office Depot Structural Repairs
When Office Depot wanted to make structural repairs to their Mountain View, California location while remaining open for curbside shopping, they needed a solid partner accustomed to delivering under special circumstances. Office Depot quickly turned to Menemsha, utilizing our experienced survey and construction services. Within a sensitive five-week schedule, Menemsha was able to organize a team to execute the project despite the difficult scope and logistics.
Together, we worked with the client to create a pre-construction plan and execute it ahead of schedule. We understood the essential needs of the client, assembling a team to work 24 hours a day, 6 days a week. Throughout the project, Menemsha was able to go above and beyond, delivering exceptional results in the necessary time frame.
The team relocated MEP, data, and security devices. They reset store gondolas and cut in 10 new footings in existing slabs within the first two weeks. By the end of week four, all steel columns and wall hangers were set. The team performed a sequenced tower removal, grouted columns, placed topping slabs, carpeted, and completed G-Lam installations. At week five, the site was demobilized.
Overall, the project was a huge success for both Office Depot and Menemsha, completed ahead of schedule even with the open-store environment. Learn more about our construction and survey expertise.
