Menemsha Begins Phase One of Holiday Inn Renovation

Menemsha recently began renovation on Urban Commons’ new Holiday Inn which is to be comprised of three existing buildings and a new connecting corridor. The project will take place in four phases over 18 months. The first phase includes renovating 63 rooms of a former Comfort Inn with a full exterior building and façade upgrade transforming the look and feel to Holiday Inn’s new branding/image guidelines. All rooms will receive new windows, paint, carpet, lighting, PTAC units, new restroom finishes, fixtures, and furniture. A new roofline, framed architectural pop-outs, stucco, and brick veneer will be applied to the entire exterior of the building.

In the second phase, Menemsha will build a corridor to connect the three existing buildings. Renovation of the lobby and restaurant of the second building which is currently a Holiday Inn is to be completed in phase three, and renovation of the third building is to be completed in phase four.

The Holiday Inn located in San Mateo, California is in close proximity to the San Francisco International Airport. The finished hotel will offer a restaurant, lounge, and meeting space as well as multiple business centers and exercise facilities.
